How to Set Up the Subject Property on Your Map

Configure the central marker on your retail map: rich-text naming, three marker options, and full container styling for the property being marketed.

1234 Camelback Rd

The subject property is the central marker on your map - the focal point that represents the property being marketed. It supports rich-text naming, three marker options, and full container styling. Unlike other overlays, it can't be deleted.

Configure the subject property

  1. Open the Subject Property panel — click "Subject Property" in the sidebar, or double-click the marker on the map.
  2. Edit the property name — the name field supports Bold, Italic, and Underline (use the buttons or Ctrl+B/I/U).
  3. Change the marker image — pick your company logo, a preset marker (5 pins, 2 stars, 3 shapes), or upload a custom image.
  4. Customize container styling — background color (12 swatches + custom picker), border on/off with color and width, border radius, padding, and a 0-100% opacity slider.
  5. Re-center with "Center Map" — found at the bottom of the sidebar, useful after panning far away.
  6. Drag to reposition and drag the corner handle to resize (30px-400px). Text auto-scales as you resize.
💡
Pro tip: White or transparent logos are auto-detected and given a dark background so they stay visible. The same container styling (background, border, opacity) works identically across logos, images, and text.

Start a map and set your subject property in seconds.

Example: a multi-tenant pad

For a 1.2-acre pad on a hard corner, name the subject property "Camelback & 24th - Pad A", set a bold red square marker, and bump its size to about 60px so it reads clearly against a busy intersection. Add a teal border to match your brokerage colors, then drag it precisely onto the parcel.
