Leader lines are the thin connecting lines that run from a logo to its real location on the map. They're created automatically when you add businesses from Nearby Places, and you can toggle, style, and fine-tune them for any overlay.
Set up and style leader lines
- Lines appear automatically when you add businesses from Nearby Places.
- Toggle per overlay โ hover any logo, image, or group and click the leader line icon to show/hide its line.
- Open the Leader Line panel from the Quick Toolbar (the diagonal line icon) for global settings.
- Choose a line style โ solid, dashed (default), or dotted.
- Set line color from 8 swatches or a custom color, and width (1-4px).
- Customize the anchor dot โ independent color (8 swatches + custom) and size (0px to hide, up to 8px).
- Drag the anchor dot at the map end to reposition exactly where the line points - useful when the default overlaps other elements.
- "Apply to All Lines" at the bottom of the panel makes every line consistent at once.
- Toggle all lines globally with the master switch at the top of the panel.
Example: untangling a dense corner
When three logos cluster at one intersection, their default lines overlap. Grab each anchor dot and fan them out to the exact storefronts, switch the lines to a 1px light-gray dotted style so they recede, then click "Apply to All Lines" to make the rest of the map match.
